Director Spotlight: Alexandra Christensson

Alexandra Christensson is a writer, director, and producer with a global perspective, raised in London by Swedish and American parents. A graduate of USC’s prestigious Film and Television Production program, she has built an impressive career spanning major industry players like CAA, Ryan Murphy Productions, and Netflix. Her thesis film, One Small Step, received critical acclaim, screening at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the BAFTA Student Film Awards shortlist, and the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at Cannes. Her feature Omni was a semifinalist for the 2022 ScreenCraft Feature Competition. She is currently represented by Jacqueline Mosher and Lucius Cary at Rain LA.

Her latest work, So Much for Solidarity, earned a nomination at this year’s Utah International Film Festival. The film delves into the complexities of grief, exploring how loss—whether of a loved one, a relationship, or even a previous version of oneself—shapes human connection. Alexandra’s storytelling seeks to create space for emotions often left unspoken, capturing the quiet intricacies of how we see and are seen by others.
